Miss Thompson has been an Early Years teacher now for seven years. Although she was born and raised in York, she started her teaching career in Barnet, London after graduating from Hertfordshire University. After completing three wonderful years there she decided to move back to York. She then briefly taught at a school in Selby before moving on to work at Headlands. She has now been part of the Headlands family for three years. Miss Thompson is Headlands's Geography coordinator and also runs the photography club for Reception and Year 6.
Mr Mulholland has worked in Early Years settings for 15 years supporting children 1:1, in groups and whole classes as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. As a qualified Forest School Leader he takes our Reception classes out for weekly sessions to learn through play in the woods and supports Outdoor Learning around the school grounds for all year groups at Headlands.
During her established teaching career based in the north, south, east and west of the UK, Miss Read has taught all the year groups within the primary age range from Reception to Year 7.
Regarding teaching as her vocation, Miss Read is committed to providing a motivating and inspiring start to your child’s primary school education.
Miss Reads’ specialist teaching skills in both the visual arts and performing arts greatly influence her imaginative and creative personality.
