Science: Filtering Materials - 21st September

The children learnt about mixtures and solutions, and then went into the forest school to experiment! They were challenged to make a beaker of dirty water as clean as possible using a variety of sieves and filters.

Science: Separating Materials - 14th September

This afternoon, we worked together - outside - to separate lots of different materials. There was flour mixed with marbles, sponge and water, rice and pasta, flour and paper clips... Our job was to use the tools provided to work out the most efficient way to separate the mixtures.
