In the second half of the Summer Term, we will be focussing on the Anglo-Saxons
Where did they come from?
How did they get here?

Why did they live alongside the Vikings?
Did they ever leave?

6 lucky Year 3s went to Waterstones this morning to choose some books for the Year 3/4 reading den. The PTA kindly donated some money for us to buy brand new books, and we also managed to fit in some cookie-eating too...
Tuesday 7th June
Tuesday and Wednesday this week we have been performing our re-enactments of 'Beowulf' - a famous Anglo-Saxon story about an ogre called Grendel and a hero, Beowulf, who defeats him.
Year 3/4 have had a lot of fun putting on this year's play. The children learned their lines beautifully and acted with heart! We hope you'll agree; they did a grand job! Unfortunately, we don't have any shots from a good angle from the performances on the night, but we hope that all you parents managed to snap a few great shots of your children on stage?!
Katie and Beth (Year 4) have worked really hard creating a super video of our time at Malham Tarn! Well done girls, it looks fab...
Check it out below. Can you see yourself? Any good memories in here?
Friday 26th February
We were lucky enough to have Mrs Dixon come into school this morning to read some extracts from from her Sci-fi story to us, as part of our World Book Week celebration. It was great!
Tuesday 2nd February
Ground control to Major Tim! Year 3/4 were very excited to join in with the Cosmic classroom and watch as children asked astronaut Tim Peake questions about his time living on the International Space Station.
Year 3 and 4 created brilliant animations featuring animal antics in school. They used stop motion technology on the iPads. Here is a little selection, but they were all fantastic!

We all came dressed as an animal today - even the teachers! During the day we took part in a range of exciting animal-themed activities; including art, craft and music. Below we have posted some pictures of what we got up to... Enjoy!

Stuart & Russ from Gist came and taught us all about Road Safety, focussing on staying safe around larger vehicles. Their message was "no matter how big or how small, how fast or how slow, all vehicles can be dangerous." Below are some photos of us enjoying our session.
