A big well done to Jack and Emily, who were chosen out of the whole of Reception for their excellent handwriting! Mrs Pearce awarded them with a special certificate, and their work will become part of the 'Headlands' Handwriting Heroes' display at the front entrance of school. Why not come and take a look!

Zach and Eva are looking lovely here in their own special clothes. Their excellent baviour record meant that they were chosen to attend the Aroma cafe in Haxby to enjoy treats for the afternoon! Well done you two, hope you saved us some cake!

Here is Bethannie looking very pleased with herself for being awarded the 'Attitude to learning' award in this morning's assembly! A very deserved recipient too - well done Bethannie for your enthusiasm and such postitive attitude to everything you do in school!

Miss Bolton is celebrating the achievements of James this week! He has been sharing and turn-taking with his friends and has been working really hard to practise writing the letters in his name. Well done James, keep up the good progress! smiley

Leo in Mrs Neville's class has been a star this week. During maths work on capacity, Leo has been applying his knowledge to describe the capacity of different containers using the correct vocabulary when working with an adult, and independently. Well done Leo! smiley

Congratulations to Riley in Mrs. Neville's class for his amazing pattern making. You have fully embraced this unit of work and are applying your ideas independently. Well done! smileynosmileynosmiley
