The children enjoyed a well deserved class treat for a fantastic first year in school.
Despite the cool British summer weather, we enjoyed a teddy bears picnic and teddy bear related activities with the pre-school children.
We had an fabulous time at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We had a beautiful sunny day and saw lots of amazing animals, including lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, tigers, polar bears and rhinos, to name but a few.

Mrs. Blakemore very kindly led a football session for all the reception children. We had lots of fun developing our football skills.
We looked at different techiques for relaxing. Some of these strategies included listening to gentle, calming music and reading a book in the sun!
The children have been learning about eating a healthy balanced diet and enjoyed making a fruit salad.
The children enjoyed watching a puppet show performed by their class mates whilst eating their fruit salads.
During our healthy schools week, we had a visit from the fire brigade. We learnt about the role of the fire brigade and had a good look around the fire engine.
We enjoyed watching the Key Stage 2 sport's day. Fingers crossed for nice weather for our sport's day.
We enjoyed visiting the Year 1/2 classrooms before our transition day on Wednesday.
Our caterpillars have finally turned into beautiful butterflies. We released them into the school garden to continue their journey.
