Children are now set two maths homework tasks to complete, but now have two weeks to complete them. Every other Friday they will be given their maths homework books (funded by the PTA) and expected to complete one page within the two weeks. Your child's maths teacher will also set a MyMaths task to be done in the two weeks as well: http://www.mymaths.co.uk/
If homework books are lost, we do request that a replacement copy is funded by parents. Your child should have been given a MyMaths login to use on the site. See your numeracy teacher if there are any problems.
Each Friday children are given a piece of Literacy homework to complete by the following Friday. Once a year we also set a half-term long topic homework in place of literacy homework.
Children will bring a library book home which they may change each week (providing they have finished it). Please try to listen to your child read at home when you can. Some children are also involved in Project X so may bring these books home too.
Children are set spellings every other Monday. The lists are stuck in their spelling books and they are tested two weeks later. Please ensure your child learns the spellings they are given. The spellings are linked to the lesson and taken from the Year 3 and 4 New Curriculum Spelling Programme: http://www.headlandsprimary.org.uk/topic/curriculum
