1/2 Blue (Mrs Pearce)

Welcome to our class page. Both Mr Mulholland and myself are very much looking forward to getting the term off to a 'cracking' start. We can't wait to hear all your summer holiday news.

Just so you know ... Mr Mulholland will be teaching you on a Monday and Friday afternoon this year; he will also register and see you home on Wednesday afternoons too. I will be with you for the rest of the week.

Congratulations and Celebrations

Well done to Eddie in Year One and Hetty in Year Two for being democratically elected as our school council representatives. A big thank you to Millie, Abi, Evie and Bobbie who also gave sterling speeches but who were unfortunately unsuccessful on this occasion.

Also a BIG well done to this half term's peer mentors: Millie, George, Harry, Jay, Alfie-George, Bobbie, Evie, Charlie W, Zach, Isabelle. Wear your badges with pride and remember to show everyone in our class and school why you have been chosen.

Autumn Two

Well it's congratulations time again to our 10 new peer mentors who shone out as true superstars last half term. A BIG Well done to Ayda, Will, Emily, Lily-Mai, Megan, Hetty, Mathilda, Rose, Abi and Ella. Don't forget that if you haven't been chosen this time around there will be 10 new positions available in January, just make sure you make all the right choices and remain verbal warning free!

Penguin Pete

Those of you who have been given a speaking part in our Christmas production of 'Penguin Pete' will now have been given a copy of your lines. Please make sure you practise these LOUDLY at home with plenty of expression. If you have only one or two lines, you should have aimed to of learnt them by Friday 18th at the very latest.

A costume list should be coming out tomorrow (Friday 11th), please come and ask if you have any questions.

A Very Special Visitor

A very special visitor from the past will be joining us on Monday. Do you know who it could be? Here are some clues ...

She was named after the Italian city she was born in.

She helped wounded soldiers in Scutari Hospital.

She is often referred to as 'the lady with the lamp'

Any ideas?

January 2017

A belated Happy New Year to you all. We have a few ICT gremlins visiting our class at the moment but we are hopeful they won't out stay their welcome. Please be patient whilst we send them on their way and keep checking our class pages for news and photographs of what we've been up to.

Peer Mentors for the first half of Spring Term

A HUGE well done to Charlie, Vismaya, Oli, Elodie, Bobbie, Millie, Isabelle, Evie, Charlie and Emily who have had impeccable behaviour during the whole of last half term. Congratulations for being awarded your peer mentor badge - wear it with pride.

Traditional Tales

Once upon a time, there was a class of children who loved reading, retelling and writing traditional tales. One Monday after listening to the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, they decided to work together in teams to sequence the story. It all ended happily ever after.
